Kelley and Lucas are a great couple who's wedding we recently had the honor of shooting.  It was a very nice and tasteful celebration, but we wouldn't expect anything less from this pair.  Kelley is originally from the Minneapolis area, but now lives with Lucas in New York City.  We really have to tip our cap for a job well done planning everything.

Stacey started out the day with Kelley and her girls at Jon Charles Salon, while I was hanging out with Lucas and the guys as they were getting a nice old fashion shave at Winston's Barbershop.  From there, we made our way to Calhoun Beach Club for the day's festivities.  Kelley donned a beautiful Vera Wang gown, which was the epitome of class and timelessness.  With Lucas patiently waiting to get a glimpse of his bride to be, Kelley stepped out onto the side balcony.  It was a perfect place for Lucas to see Kelley for the first time on their wedding. 

As the ceremony began, Kelley descended the staircase to meet her parents at the bottom.  This was one of my favorite moments of the entire day.  Talk about a grand entrance, it really adds to the pomp and circumstance while providing a little extra drama and piece of the past.  After the ceremony, we whisked the couple over to Lake Calhoun to get a few images of just the two of them.  Plus we brought the old school red bike per their request.  Living in New York, they love to bike, so this was a perfect way to add some personality into their pictures. 

On our way back to the club, they were greeted with waves and cheers from the balcony above.  It was pretty cool being able to get the whole feel of what was going on in one shot.  As the guests entered the reception, they had to take notice of the orange theme that Kelley had wanted, and Flora did a spectacular job of pulling off.  After finding their spots and taking a chair, everyone was treated to a wonderful evening with good food, family, friends, and some great music, as the Modd Squad made sure people didn't have an excuse not to dance.
