Katie and Jon got married in Katie's backyard overlooking downtown St.
Paul. What an awesome location to become husband and wife! I have to
say, that this ceremony brought back many fond memories and warm
feelings for me, as Jason and I were wed in my parent's backyard many
years ago.:) Unfortunately, Jason was in Africa during Katie and Jon's
wedding, but man I had an awesome team around me! We didn't miss a
beat (sorry Jason:)) Josh has worked with us for a number of years now
and totally gets us and knows how we roll. He stepped in for Jason and
did an awesome job! Chelsea has been with us since the beginning of
this season and is such a fast learner. She's got a natural eye for
photography and is extremely driven. I sometimes find it difficult to
believe that she has just begun.
Before the ceremony, we grabbed the wedding party and hit a couple of parks down in St. Paul. It was so much fun and actually very relaxing! We had plenty of time to get all the formal shots that were needed plus some crazy and goofy shots too.
As with any outdoor wedding, we were concerned with the weather, but thankfully it held out for them. The intimate ceremony was just beautiful. Afterward, the wedding party and all the guests walked from the house to Metro State University banquet hall for a light dinner. The sun even decided to make an appearance right before sunset. We ended our time with Katie and Jon draped by a brilliant sunset.
I hope you enjoy some of my favorite shots from the day!
