Darlene and Jake are such a cute and creative couple (They had the fun engagement session that incorporated the tandem bike).  Darlene started getting ready at the Westin Minneapolis which has a very nice feel to it.  This is where B.A.N.K. is located.  When we got to the floor where Darlene and the girls were getting ready, I noticed this wall fountain that I thought would serve as a great back-drop for the dress.  We love finding great locations to photograph the dress and continue to keep pushing ourselves to try and showcase these gowns in new ways. 

While Stacey stayed with the girls, I ventured off with the guys to Boom Island Park and got a few images there.  At this point, they decided to head on down to the "old school" Elsie's for a little pre-wedding lunch.  After a little relaxing for the guys, the big moment was getting closer.  With everyone ready at the park, the ceremony was ready to begin.  The wedding itself was a lovely outdoor ceremony on the river overlooking downtown Minneapolis.  Despite a bright sun, the weather was comfortable and everyone was enjoying themselves.  Stacey and I just love outdoor weddings.  They allow us the ability to move around and look for the best angles. 

After the ceremony, we got some fun bridal party images in the park across from Atlas Grill.  Darlene and Jake wanted something that was outdoors and open, yet said you were in an urban area.  It's so cool how some of the buildings loom in the background.  We continued on to the reception for a night full of food, fun, and dancing.  Be sure to check out the bottles of Jones Soda that they used as table cards.  Everyone's name and picture (if available) was on the bottle with their table number on top.  So cool!

Congratulations Darlene and Jake!  We wish you the best in your new life together and want to thank you both for having us at your special day, we had such a great time.  Here are a few highlights, but don't forget to check out the SLIDESHOW!
